Park Place Hotel Policies

If you find it necessary to cancel this reservation, or make any changes, please do so by 4:00 PM on the day prior to check-in in order to avoid a penalty equal to your first night's room and tax and cancellation of reservation. There are no refunds for prepaid reservations made through the website.

If you booked your reservation through a third party website (Expedia, Priceline, Orbitz, Travelocity), please consult the cancellation policy of that agency–as their policy may differ.

We understand life happens, so if you find it necessary to cancel your reservation or make changes, please do so by 4:00 PM on the day prior to check-in to avoid a one night penalty of $ _____. However, for specials like, but not limited to the Web Prepaid, this cancellation policy does not apply. If you have made your reservation online, please go back to the website to cancel by clicking modify or cancel a reservation.

You must be at least 21 years of age to reserve and check into a hotel room. Group rooms are run of house–allowing us to work with you, but ultimately giving us full discretion over what room a guest will receive.

We're happy to announce that MINERVAS RESTAURANT is now open. Please feel free to join us 7:00 AM until 10:30 AM Wednesday-Sunday for Breakfast only. Lunch and dinner Service is closed until further notice. Unfortunately, The Beacon Lounge is closed as well, but we are happy to share with you lists of dynamic restaurants in the area for dine-in or take out.

Regrettably, there are no refunds for early departure. Please verify your departure date prior to arrival. Rate changes for some days might not show above, the total stay amount is the controlling amount.

Effective September 1, 2019, the total estimated stay will include 6% sales tax, 5% Traverse City Tourism fee & 5% facility fee. Check-In Time: Begins @ 4:00 PM Check-Out Time: 11:00 AM

Reservations that are guaranteed by deposit or credit card will be held until 8:00 AM on __________.

Specific room type, numbers, and location are not guaranteed. Rollaways are not permitted in rooms with two queen beds. Extending courtesies and safety to all of our guests, maximum occupancy is 4 guests in rooms with two queen beds and 3 guests with king beds.

Again for the safety of our guests and staff, no guest will be allowed to check into a room unless their full name is listed on this reservation and can be verified with a government issued ID with photo. If guests in your party will be arriving before you, please let the hotel Front Desk know prior to arrival. Prior approval must also be given to the hotel if you wish to request to be next to someone.

The Fitness Center and Pool use are restricted to registered hotel guests only.

Bicycles are not allowed in hotel rooms.


Proud to be pet-friendly

The Park Place Hotel allows a maximum of 2 dogs to accompany guests into designated dog-friendly rooms on the second floor of the wing. Please note that a nightly pet fee of $20 per pet will be applied to your account and may not be included in the total listed above. Dogs are only allowed on the 2nd floor of the West Wing and may not be left in the room unattended. Please let the Front Desk know if you do not want to be placed on a pet-friendly floor.


Keeping guest satisfaction high is what we aim for at Park Place hotel, so we keep it completely smoke-free, with no smoking or vaping allowed in any of our rooms, balcony or within 15 feet of the hotel. A minimum fee of $250 will be imposed on any room in which smoking or vaping occurs, violates any hotel policy, that causes a noise disturbance or that requires additional time and resources to clean–with possible eviction from the hotel.

In regards to automobiles, the hotel allows one car per room to park in the parking lot, but if the parking lot is full, it will validate the ticket from the Hardy Parking deck across the street. Parking for additional cars are available across the street at the Hardy Parking deck for $20 overnight. There is no parking available for trailers or motorhomes–vehicles must be removed after guest check-out.

A valid credit card or cash deposit is required at check-in.

A valid credit or debit card will be authorized for the equivalent for the entire stay plus 15% for incidentals, or a minimum of $100, at the time of check-in. If you use a debit card, it can take up to 5 business days or longer for the unused authorization to be removed. Cash payments will be accepted at the time of check-in for the full amount of stay, but a credit card will be pre-authorized for a minimum of $100. If you are claiming sales tax exemption, a State of Michigan tax exemption form with number must be given to the Front Desk at check-in. IF YOU WISH TO PAY FOR A GUEST ROOM PRIOR TO ARRIVAL, YOU MUST CALL THE HOTEL WITH THE SECURITY CODE OF THE CREDIT CARD TO PREPAY. PREPAYMENT BY CHECK MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE HOTEL 10 BUSINESS DAYS PRIOR TO CHECK IN.
